Our Story
Established in 2025, Dahlia Club is a community of people from diverse multicultural backgrounds who share a passion for growth and for uplifting one another.
The Club provides meaningful networking opportunities and community events centred on knowledge sharing, leadership and business development, local connections, teaching and learning practical life skills, contributing to your personal, social, and professional development.
The Club is more than just a club, it is a ‘Home’ where you are part of a big ‘Family’, that welcomes and supports you.
Our home and family are focused on inclusion, people, relationships and holistic well-being, through personal connections, emotional support, belonging and shared care.

The Founder
Daryl Hamley (also known as ‘Dahlia’) started ‘Dahlia Club’ to provide a platform for the Club Members to connect with local and multicultural Australian communities, to foster long lasting connections, friendships and professional relationships.
As a migrant who moved to Australia in 2006, being ‘homesick’ was the biggest challenge for her, while settling in Australia.
Through the Club, Dahlia hopes to create and provide a space for its Members to feel right at home and have a ‘Family’ in Australia, to lessen the feeling of being homesick and assist with the struggles of being away from home.
The Members (‘Dahlias’)
The Club Members referred to as ‘Dahlias’ represent the vibrant multicultural Australia, including both locals and migrants, who, like Dahlia flowers, are characterised by their remarkable diversity.
Dahlia Club actively listens, empathises, validates, and recognises Members’ vulnerability, making everyone in the club feel truly known and valued.
We are not just a club, we are a ‘Family’, where everyone feels at ‘Home’.
Why Dahlias?
The Dahlia flower symbolises diversity, beauty, kindness, creativity, positivity, and growth. It also represents inner strength, possibly because of its ability to endure harsh conditions and remain steadfast.
Historically, Dahlia Flowers have been popular for celebrating positive change and new journeys, providing support during challenging times, and representing commitment, lasting bonds, and dignity.
“Dahlias”, the Club Members, will be given the opportunity to bloom into the beautiful Dahlias that they are.

Vision
Dahlia Club will serve as a platform for the multicultural Australia to engage with one another resulting to a positive life changing experience and foster a sense of belonging, that a ‘Family’ would normally provide.
The Club will embrace and celebrate the beauty of differences and the strength that comes from the diverse backgrounds of the Members joining the Club.
Here at Dahlia Club, we understand that Members joining us come from all walks of life and each one has a unique story, character and skillset that is valuable to the Club and its Members.
Dahlia Club is a welcoming ‘Home’ for its Members, a ‘Family’ that you choose to be a part of.
Mission
The Club’s Mission is to deliver the highest level of support to its Members by providing practical and meaningful opportunities and experiences that will promote and encourage each Member’s growth and development in all aspects of their lives: personally, socially and professionally.
Goal
Our goal is to see each Member who joins the club blossom into a beautiful Dahlia, in the environment we created for them, in their own time.
